Band Instruments and Violin

Music and More offers private instruction in a variety of band instruments as well as string instruments.  We currently have instructors available for flute, clarinet, violin, trumpet, trombone, and more.   


We begin violin instruction as young as 4 years, however this requires parent attendance at all lessons.  


For band instruments, we generally recommend around 4th grade. We also offer a home-school band class that meets on Tuesday/Thursday.  

 

Cost for private lessons is based on an hourly rate.  It is $100 for a 30 min lesson meeting once a week, $150 for 45 minutes, and $200 for an hour.  We generally start with a 30 min lesson for beginners and recommend moving to 45 minutes as the child becomes more advanced.    The speed at which the child progresses depends on the amount of time they spend practicing outside of class.
